SACRAMENTO—Assemblywoman Patty Berg was appointed by Speaker Fabian Núñez to the State Coastal Conservancy today.

“I am honored to serve on this board,” said Berg D-Eureka. “I have always worked hard to ensure that our beautiful coastline is kept open and clean for all Californians.”

The conservancy restores, protects, and enhances coastal property in California. The conservancy also works with the California Coastal Commission and the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission as well as local governments to ensure coastal plans or programs are implemented. The conservancy meets six times a year, and members are paid $100 per day and their expenses.
