SACRAMENTOThe good-government advocacy organization CALPIRG today gave Assemblywoman Patty Berg a perfect score for consistently supporting open-government and consumer-friendly legislation.
CALPIRG, the California Public Interest Research Group, said Berg received a 100% legislative score for “standing up for the public” in Sacramento.
“I appreciate the work that CALPIRG does,” said Berg, D-Eureka. “We share the belief that consumers have rights, and that secrecy and democracy don’t mix.”
CALPIRG is an organization that advocates on such issues as government reform, consumer protections and health care reform. Each year they release a legislative scorecard for California lawmakers.
