Berg rated 100 percent by Planned Parenthood

State Assemblymember Patty Berg (D-Eureka) received a 100 percent abortion rights rating from Planned Parenthood on her support for reproductive health and abortion rights voting.
“I am honored to receive a high rating from Planned Parenthood,” said Berg. “Protecting reproductive rights and fighting for good reproductive health has always been a cornerstone in my career.”
Berg is a lifelong advocate for reproductive rights, according to a release from her office. In the 1980s, the release continued, she co-founded CHOICES, Humboldt County’s first abortion rights political action committee, and developed California’s first K-12 comprehensive family life education curriculum for public schools, which received national distribution.
While in the California Legislature, the release stated, Berg has supported Planned Parenthood in its efforts to protect reproductive freedom and opposed legislation that attempts to erode abortion rights.
