The Sierra Club California released its legislative scorecard today, a bill-by-bill roundup in which Assemblymember Patty Berg received a perfect score based on her votes when considering environmental legislation that came before her.

“Your support does not just reflect that you are doing a good job representing your district, but it also means that you are listening to Californians,” said Sierra Club spokesperson Bill Allayaud.

Berg supported measures such as eliminating phthalates, a plastic softener, from toys meant for infants and toddlers; improving clean air laws; and encouraging more energy-efficient and toxic-free lighting and better flood protection, according to a news release from Berg’s office.

“You cannot build a future without respecting and protecting the environment,” said Berg. “I’m very pleased to be part of California’s leadership role on climate change and environmental protection.”
