Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill by Patty Berg Friday to name a part of the Ma-le’l Dunes in Manila as the “Senator Wesley Chesbro” trail, according to a news release.
The trail will be named after Chesbro ends his public career.
“I am pleased that the governor signed this bill to honor Wes Chesbro,” Berg, D-Eureka, stated in the release. “He has been a good friend to the North Coast.”
Chesbro, a longtime resident of Humboldt County, represented the North Coast region in the state Senate from 1998 to 2006.
He currently serves on the Integrated Waste Management Board. |
