Speaker Bass Names Four Committee Chairs

SACRAMENTO -- Assembly Speaker Karen Bass today announced the chairmanships of four key Assembly committees for the next legislative session:

  • Health – Assemblymember Dave Jones, D-Sacramento;
  • Transportation – Assemblymember Mike Eng, D-Monterey Park;
  • Judiciary – Assemblymember Mike Feuer, D-Los Angeles; and
  • Business & Professions – Assemblymember Mary Hayashi, D-Hayward.

“These appointments reflect the experience and expertise we need to continue the Assembly’s progress on the key issues facing our state,” said Speaker Bass.

Existing chairs of these committees will continue to serve until the new session begins in December.
