Guiding Principles for Latino Caucus Agenda
Our efforts should develop a Latino community that is engaged at all levels of business, develop a workforce that is prepared and well qualified for our evolving economy, healthy families that live in safe communities, and residents that are engaged in civic debate at all levels of government.

Let's not allow this opportunity to pass us by. A principled approach allows us to set aside political differences for the good of the state and our community.

Education

  • Does this policy enhance opportunities for Latino children to receive a quality education and facilitate their admission to college?
  • Does this policy enhance opportunities for students not going to college to learn a trade or develop other vocational skills?

Health

  • Does this policy ensure access to quality and affordable health care for Latino children and families?

Housing

  • Will this policy increase Latino homeownership?

Economic Development

  • Will this policy enhance Latino community business access to capital?
  • Will this policy provide wealth building opportunities and financial education that leads to more business creation and financial independence in our less fortunate communities?

Leadership

  • Will this policy encourage civic engagement at all levels of American democracy?
