Laird Earns 100% Rating from CA Alliance for Retired Americans

SANTA CRUZ – Assemblymember John Laird (D-Santa Cruz) today announced he has received a 100% rating from the California Alliance for Retired Americans for the 2007 legislative session. 

The rating is based on Mr. Laird’s votes on 16 of the most important bills affecting seniors and retirees that came before the legislature:

AB 343 – Health care employer coverage disclosure.

AB 399 – Long-term health care facilities.

AB 414 – Local planning for residential development.

AB 632 – Health care facilities and whistleblower protections.

AB 763 – Condominium conversion and tenant notification.

AB 864 – Substandard buildings.

AB 949 – Residential care facilities for the elderly

AB 987 – Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund.

AB 1324 – Health care coverage and treatment authorization.

AB 1542 – Mobile home park conversions.

SB 275 – Health facilities and patient transporting.

SB 472 – Prescription drugs and labeling requirements.

SB 611 – Financial abuse of elder and dependent adults.

SB 633 – Persons with disabilities and hospital discharge planning policies.

SB 868 – In-home supportive services and criminal background checks.

SB 945 – In-home supportive services and notices of action.
